This is a movement in the making. Our t-shirt is empowering women to feel safe #regardless of prevailing circumstances, situation or location. Everywhere, anytime women deserve to feel safe. But the research shows that women are safer in a dark lane, late at night than they are in their own home. In this statement we want to instil confidence, advocating for women to feel less vulnerable when faced with challenging and disrespectful behaviour in relationships.
Betrayal, abuse, coercive control and violence fall under a broad banner of behaviours that harass and intimidate women who have for generations vicariously consumed violence in the media, meaning that there is no where women feel safe.
97% of women have been sexually harassed.
73% women have experienced abusive relationships.
100% have engaged in unwanted sex, because they felt obligated or fearful of their partner.
