The ‘Gift of Safety’ is an affirmative initiative for women’s safety this Christmas.
The Gift of Safety is an affirmation initiative campaign to help empower women develop a mindset of feeling safe…
whenever, wherever #regardless.
We have been telling women what not to do to keep safe for so long that now we have a generation of hyper-vigilant young women who have a general mistrust of men, layered with other violence and abuse that is gendered and disproportionally targeted towards them . Women are often safer in a dark lane, a car park or walking home from a night club than they are in their own homes.
We support women in creating
ROUTINES – RITUALS – RECOVERY – RELAXATION
A collective of wellness warriors have combined their life giving strategies and empowered products to increase confidence, remind you of their inner strength and engage in you in brave conversations to feel seen and heard.

The Gift of Safety is complimented by education and awareness campaigns for men and other women to help survivors understand what they can do for themselves to make them feel safe. It peels back the unconscious bias and assumptions men have about victims, and what women need to feel safe around them. It addresses the generational wounds that result in the general mistrust of men in our society. As part of our education we include the teaching and support of our special guests.

Strategy 1. The Gift of Safety Starts here…..
In this program you will hear words of affirmation, receive a specially blended aromatherapy roll on oil, inspiring videos and educational activities that build confidence to set boundaries, develop discernment for thresholds and hold yourself accountable to dealbreakers.
The science behind this active affirmation awareness initiative is about combining the
‘anchors of safety’ with ‘love languages’
We all want to live in a world where women feel safe, whenever and wherever they are. #REGARDLESS and despite the prevailing circumstances. Womens’ physical and emotional safety continues to be at risk, embed in the drivers of gendered abuse. Women’s safety is something women and men create, with respect for boundaries. Unfortunately there is not a place on earth where women are safe, including their own homes. Without having these conversations with men, sharing the experiences of women, they will never know what this looks or feels like. What we have learnt is that men are willing and ready to step up and provide that support the changes in attitudes and behaviours. Men play an intricate role in giving the gift of safety to women who’s sense of safety has been broken, or destroyed.
So we have taken the objects, behaviours, beliefs and words that associate and stimulate the capacity to feel safe to create an accessible online program. The core foundations of safety include RESPECT, AFFIRMATIONS and TRUST all of which play a role in messaging what it means to be safe.
We know from our research that men are feeling the fear of ‘doing or saying the wrong thing’ right now, and women struggle to find the strategies to make themselves feel safe. But here’s how anyone can.

Why is Safety a Gift every Christmas?
December 2022 recorded the highest number of women murdered by their intimate partner in Australia. It also marks the annual
In Queensland, the highest days of demand for police responders to domestic and family violence last year were Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, with 270 and 254 incidents respectively. There were 8,796 offences in the most recent summer period and 3,109 in December alone, compared with 7,376 throughout winter.
“Gendered violence is the key problem here – it’s up to men to fix it.” Moody’s database has registered 55 deaths of women and children this year, including 11 in the past three weeks. All but one of the recent deaths were allegedly perpetrated by a male.
“I want us to get to Christmas without any more women being killed. For those families, it’s their first Christmas without their loved ones.” Moody said while there was a clear peak in violence around the end of the year, the festive season was also be a time when women tried to maintain the facade of a happy household.
“It’s never isolated to stress during Christmas but part of a continuum of abuse,” she said. “This is a year-long issue.”
– Journalist Sherele Moody, the founder of the Australian Femicide Watch and the Red Heart Campaign, a memorial to women and children lost to violence, has been documenting the violent deaths of women since 2015.
Now the Gift of Safety will not protect women from a physical assault, but combined with the meditations to help with emotional regulation, education and empowering conversations, women can and will learn the skills that will help them to feel more confident to set boundaries and communicate confidently during conflict.

T-Shirt for IWD 2023
This organic T is a statement piece in The Gift of Safety pack. A simple reminder for women everywhere. #regardless is a common phrased used in the context to express that Despite the Prevailing Circumstances, this is possible, I am doing it, I will be ok.
It is an empowering mantra to forge a movement of confidence in capacity without a certificate of proof.
Experiencing emotional distress, overcoming challenges and navigating frameworks designed to accomodate and protect men have seen the suppression and abuse of women. Systems, workplaces and social norms forced women to double the effort to meet what was a green light corridor for men. #metoo has seen the groundswell of anger and frustration, sweeping and significant changes as well as pushback and resistance to more inclusivity!
#regardless says, I might not get what I want today, but I will, despite the prevailing circumstances.

This is a unique and specially designed safety anchor. A statement piece that reminds her of the strength, persistence courage and resilience she has . The lock represents that feeling of being safe, protected and secure. It also means that the only key to unlocking her potential and her insecurities is with her. Personal responsibility for our own safety, emotions, beliefs and behaviours is essential to navigating the disruptions and distractions of the world. We can only change what is in our control, but collectively, we can change the world.
The bracelet will be available and sent to our existing customers in May – The month of awareness for Domestic and Family Violence.
The ‘Gift of Safety Bracelet’
affirms
I Am Safe
I set my boundaries
I unlock my fears
Some interesting questions came out of the research into the perception of womens’ safety.
Have you told her lately that she is safe with you?
Do you just assume she feels safe because you think you are?
Have you had the conversation that affirms there is no risk?
Have you given her an opportunity to express when she feels vulnerable or unsafe?
Are there situations where she holds fears for her own safety?
Strategy 5. Bingo Card
Knowing what it takes for women to feel safe and what women can do for themselves to feel safe, requires the participation of men. When men know what it takes for women to feel safe around them, they are more likely to change their behaviour, adjust their attitude and belief system. Historically men have held a sense of entitlement over space and assumed superiority in our patriarchal society. The framework has seen women excluded from locations, situations and circumstances. Their views, opinions and perspectives dismissed. Women have had to overcome barriers and navigate obstacles in this frame work of inequality.
Don’t believe me, here is a list of campaigns to improve equality, equity and inclusion along with those asking for safety and protection from these attitudes and behaviours.
It can not be forgotten that women have spent decades requesting change whilst carrying the burden to be prepared to protect themselves and avoid to stay safe.
To disregard women is to say they are less than, less worthy, less valuable or have a certain place in which they ‘belong’.
