Many people are unsure when or whether they should call the Police.

If you are in a healthy relationship you may experience natural conflict, the kind where opinions differ, concerns are expressed, emotions are shared and issues validated.  There is mutual affection, attention and both partners have a willingness to learn about and support each other.  It won’t always be easy or equal but you take responsibility for actions and behaviour and respond appropriately and proportionately, with compassion and respect.   You ride the train of compromise  feeling safe and heard.
